After MMRES:
Summary
We live in an exciting age where precise genome engineering is now easily available and performed by thousands of researchers around the world. Ranging from the first sequence specific DNA targeting tools, Zinc Finger nucleases, trough the later TALE nucleases and more recently CRISPR-Cas9 and other CRISPR based editing technologies, we now have an impressive panoply of DNA editing tools. In the present work, we innovate on some of this systems, with the aim of contributing in the expansion of the existing toolbox for mammalian genome engineering. Ultimately, we hope that some of the developed technology might prove useful for gene therapy applications.
